赤色巨星は比較的小さい星の死に方である。中心核が燃え尽き、外側で反応が始まるため、太陽系で言うと火星まで太陽が大きくなる。最終的に自身の重量でガスを支える事ができなくなり、太陽の成分は四方に漏れ出していく。これが星雲として観測され、中心核は白色矮星という形で冷えた固形物が見えてくる。そこには地獄しかないのに、なんて美しく悲惨。

Red giant stars are the death of relatively small stars. As the central core burns out and reactions begin on the outside, the sun grows until it reaches Mars in the solar system. Eventually, it can no longer support the gas under its own weight, and the components of the sun leak out in all directions. This is observed as a nebula, and the central core is a cool solid object in the form of a white dwarf star. There is only hell, how beautiful and tragic.
